What information does Mumin App ask of you?

Mumin App is an app made for prayer times and khatm circles. It does not ask for unnecessary information. Below we briefly describe what we keep and what we do not.

What goes to the server?

The app downloads the signed prayer times package and the gold price (no data linked to your identity), and in circles it sends and receives juz' statuses and encrypted content. Anonymous usage statistics are also sent: a random installation number, app version, platform, major OS version, language, phone brand, screen size class, theme and font size preference, the state of permissions, the country and city name you chose, calculation method, counters for the screens opened and features used, and error logs. Your GPS location, name, phone number, email and IP address are not part of these records. You can switch off sending statistics in the app settings. Apart from this, only while the optional Qibla map is open are map tiles downloaded from a third-party provider (OpenFreeMap); these requests do not go to the Mumin App server. Likewise, if you open the optional nearby-mosques list and consent, your approximate location (rounded to about 1 km) and your IP address are sent to OpenStreetMap Overpass servers (overpass-api.de and its backups); your exact GPS coordinates, account or identifier are not sent, the request does not touch the Mumin App server, and none is made while the list is off. For the detailed table, see the KVKK Privacy Notice.

Web participation page

When you open an invitation link in the browser, a random participant token and your nickname are stored in your browser's local storage. No cookies are used; this data is not linked to your identity on the server. You can remove it by clearing browser data. No resource, fonts included, is loaded from third-party servers.

Content safety

Circles can be reported for harmful content; once enough reports are received, the circle is closed. No IP address is kept in a report. See Support.
